The Kokiri Forest is actually home to the Great Deku Tree's meadow and is a safe haven, compared to the rest of the Lost Woods. There is also a Shop which sells Deku Shields, among other things. There is a Training Center in the northern section of the Forest, where it is said the Kokiri Sword lies hidden. The Kokiri Forest itself is a pleasant village filled with tree-houses.
It is said that no Kokiri can ever leave the woods, or they will die. It is located in the southeastern region of Hyrule, and it is accessed through the Lost Woods by crossing a small bridge. The village and Forest region comprises the central part of the Lost Woods.
